The SC&RA Crane & Rigging Workshop is just around the corner, and this year’s event is slated to take place at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago. This three-day workshop, to be held September 14-16, is the industry’s premier crane and rigging event of the year, and will feature some of NBIS’s own as speakers.
Jim Jinhong, Executive Vice President, Underwriting and Business Development and Billy Smith, Executive Vice President, Claims and Risk Management, as they discuss insurance costs with Jeff Haynes, National Heavy Construction Equipment Practice Leader for USI Insurance. The presentation, titled “Daily Impacts that Affect Your Insurance Costs,” will run from 2:15 to 3:15 PM on Wednesday the 15th, and will discuss the top ten impacts to your insurance rates. The panel will also discuss new insurance clauses and waivers of subrogation for workers compensation.
Event highlights include a tour of the LGH facilities, home of North America’s largest inventory of rental hoisting, jacking, winching, rigging and other material handling equipment. Wednesday will open with a session on electric crawler cranes, followed by several breakout sessions. Thursday’s keynote address, entitled “Leading the Charge with Change,” begins the last day of the workshop, and the afternoon features several more breakout sessions.
Last year’s workshop was held virtually and offered attendees an opportunity to learn and network despite being unable to gather in person. While it was a successful event, we are excited to be back to business in 2021 with an in-person event. This year’s workshop promises to be an essential networking opportunity, full of informative presentations. This premier event is a great way to get up-to-date on issues and policy changes impacting our industry. You won’t want to miss it.
