The Specialized Carriers and Rigging Association (SC&RA) has just announced that it will be conducting the 2020 edition of its annual Crane and Rigging Workshop online this September.
“For the first-time ever, the Workshop will feature interactive sessions, a 3D exhibit center, new collaboration with peers and more,” the Association said in a LinkedIn post late Friday.
With some companies extending remote working into the summer and even fall, and the threat of COVID-19 still present in the United States, event organizers like the Association have had to think carefully about the best way to continue offering opportunities for education and networking without holding in-person events.
The Association has recently held its annual Committee meetings via Zoom. The Annual Conference—the Association’s premier yearly event, typically held in April—was canceled this year in light of nationwide shelter-in-place and stay-at-home orders.
Registration for the 2020 Online Crane and Rigging Workshop will open in June. We’ll update this post as more details emerge.
